PHA - Europe Hub Regional Meeting in Amsterdam, 2022

Why?
There is a great need for collaboration within transdisciplinary networks to tackle wicked problems threatening life on earth. By aligning our forces, the Europe region aims to create a sustainable and healthy environment for both its citizens and the planet as a whole.

What?
The PHA-Europe Hub’s goal is to create a European network, including associated countries, where Planetary Health is integrated into all aspects of society, from research and education to policy-making and everyday living. As a Hub of the Planetary Health Alliance, our mission is to inspire, promote, and develop interactions and synergies amongst those interested in developing the Planetary Health approach in Europe and a European Planetary Health community of practice, with a focus on coordination. We will do this in close collaboration with other PHA Regional Hubs and likeminded organizations

How?
To support the PHA-Europe’s mission,  a 3-year rotating secretariat will support the realization of the mission to prioritize planetary health in Europe and encourage its members to function as a Community of Practice, with the common goal to accelerate the necessary societal transformational changes required for planetary health. platform for communication, collaboration, and coordination among stakeholders from different sectors in the Europe region, such as academia, government, civil society, and the private sector.

Our aim is to provide a space for the exchange of ideas, expertise, and resources, as well as the development of joint initiatives aimed at promoting Planetary Health in the Europe region.

The PHA-Europe Hub is organized through various self-organized Working Groups, who welcome new members continuously if they would like to contribute to these committee's aims.
